Bruce Raines.
Bruce R. Raines is the President of Raines International Inc. (RII) and has been in the executive search business for over 35 years. He founded RII with a specific expertise in the finance area, and he has built the practice into its general management focus of today.
Mr. Raines’ personal assignments have included all areas of General Management, Finance, Strategy, Marketing and Sales, Human Resources, Technology, Investment Banking / M&A / Integration, and related functions. He has successfully recruited Chief Executive Officers and Chief Operating Officers, and other “C-Level” executives in Finance, Marketing and Sales, Human Resources, and Technology, as well as middle management levels in their respective offices. Clients are primarily international publicly held organizations, major financial institutions, Private Equity firms, and a select group of smaller privately held companies.
Mr. Raines is RII’s Practice Leader for all General Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Management Consulting based searches. Specifically, Line Management assignments have been broad based among corporations and service / financial organizations, ranging from CEO through the Vice President / Director level. Finance related searches have been at the CFO level and its direct reports, as well as in Corporate Finance and Treasury. Management Consulting based assignments have been geared mostly to CEO / COO / Senior Management searches for developing companies, Chief Strategy Officers and their reports, and Corporate Development / M&A professionals for major corporations, and Private Equity firms. Human Resources searches have included SVP level Generalist Roles, as well as VPs and Directors in Specialty areas.
Mr. Raines holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University. He is the firm’s primary representative in the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), and is personally affiliated with the International Association for Corporate & Professional Recruitment (IACPR), where he chaired the Silver Anniversary Conference in 2003. He has served as business advisor to established and fledgling companies throughout his career, and he has guided hundreds of executives on their path to the C-suite. Mr. Raines is currently writing a book on the executive search business, which he plans to publish as a “handbook” for future executive search consultants.
