Catty is a Research Associate in Raines’ Boston office. Catty thrives on people – helping people be their best selves, supporting the underdog, and enabling others to excel. She drives impact through a deep commitment to every person she encounters, finding creative, thoughtful solutions to the toughest problems. Her background in education with Teach for America allows her to identify seemingly unlikely candidates and prioritize growth and development.
Prior to joining Raines, Catty worked for Teach for America as a teacher in a low-income school outside of Boston. She led the school’s student council, initiated community development efforts during COVID, launched a local podcast to support Black businesses, and ran all-staff engagement (aptly named The Sunshine Committee). While teaching, Catherine earned her Master of Education from Boston University. Before BU, Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia where she was an English major.
