The Engagement Management team includes Managing Directors and Senior Vice Presidents who serve as leaders within the firm’s Executive Search function. They are expected to generate business for the firm as well as execute high-level search work in their practice area for critical client roles.

Managing Directors are responsible for managing relationships with external clients and executives to bridge the business development and search execution functions, generate new industry contacts, and manage search execution teams to deliver successful search results.

Senior Vice Presidents execute on active searches while receiving training and mentorship around business development from senior members of the firm.

The Search Execution team includes Vice Presidents and Consultants who serve clients directly by carrying out the end-to-end search process.

Vice Presidents are responsible for cultivating relationships with executives as well as mentoring junior members of the search team while receiving regular exposure to the business development process, including active participation in pitch meetings with potential clients.

Consultants conduct phone and video interviews and manage candidates throughout the lifecycle of a search while being mentored by senior members of the search team to grow their skills and participate more fully in the business development process.

The Leadership Advisory team delivers a people-centered, data driven approach to talent acquisition and management for our clients by offering Executive Assessments, Executive Coaching, Onboarding Support, Succession Planning, Senior Team Development, and other customized trainings and workshops. As part of the Leadership Advisory team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with the Search Execution teams to provide a best-in-class experience for both candidates and clients.

The Business Development team partners with Managing Directors and Senior Vice Presidents to help them achieve their sales goals through strategic planning, account management, lead generation, and pitch deck creation. By streamlining efforts and providing the tools and support needed to excel, we ensure Raines maximizes market opportunities and reaches ambitious sales objectives.

Research Associates spend their time collaborating with senior team members on active executive search assignments as well as leading the strategic identification of candidates across numerous projects at a time. Their primary focus is sourcing candidates for active searches; however, they also conduct market research, gather business intelligence to support search execution, participate in the development of client-facing materials, and prepare target lists. While the most traditional path from a Research role is into Search Execution (i.e., executive recruiting), there are additional paths forward into operational, managerial, and analytical roles at the firm.

Search Coordinators provide both project coordination and administrative support to our clients, candidates, and colleagues. They are responsible for moving searches forward through timely coordination of interviews and documentation, providing support on multiple searches at a time, and promoting the firm’s reputation among clients and candidates with responsive, communicative, timely, and detail-oriented work. Search Coordinators provide impeccable customer service to clients, candidates, and colleagues, exemplifying a thorough knowledge of the firm’s process while delivering a seamless experience.
