David Morand

David Morand is a Research Associate at Raines International based in the firm’s Chicago office. He was drawn to the complexity, operational rigor, and strategic importance of the executive search industry and is especially interested in how strong leadership teams drive performance, transformation, and long-term organizational success.

Prior to joining Raines, David completed an internship with insurance executive search firm AIA Search, where he gained firsthand exposure to the executive search process and developed an appreciation for the critical role research plays in identifying, assessing, and delivering leadership talent. The experience strengthened his interest in executive search as a profession that combines research, strategy, and relationship-building to help organizations make consequential leadership decisions.

David’s background as a Division I collegiate baseball player at Eastern Michigan University has also been foundational in shaping his approach to work. Balancing the demands of athletics and academics strengthened his discipline, accountability, communication, and ability to perform in high-expectation, team-oriented environments. He brings a coachable mindset and strong commitment to continuous improvement.
