Chelsea Flohr-Heed

Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Chelsea is Raines’ internal Human Resources Vice President. Being the daughter of a civil servant and social worker, Chelsea had a passion for people and human behavior instilled in her at an early age. Chelsea always knew she wanted to pursue a career centered around helping people.

Chelsea prides herself on her ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of an organization. She leverages this ability at Raines to create a positive work environment and effective partnerships. Chelsea partners closely with Raines’ leadership to grow and enhance the HR function.

As a human resource professional for over a decade, Chelsea has worked with companies to recruit, develop, and retain top talent. For the last six years, she has worked within the consulting industry. Prior to Raines, Chelsea worked with Medical Advantage, a healthcare consulting company, where she was able to rebuild the HR function from the ground up while supporting nationwide growth and operating as a business partner to company leadership.

She considers herself a true generalist with a breadth and depth of experience across all facets of HR. She specifically enjoys collaborating with employees; ensuring a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture; coaching managers and leaders; using data and technology to enhance people programs; as well as operational functions, including compensation, benefits, and compliance.
