Raines’ 2026 Private Equity Report
Raines International’s fourth annual Private Equity report is now available. Based on insights from more than 85 PE partners, key findings from this year’s Private Equity report include:
- PE firms are back on the offense: 47% of Private Equity partners report hiring aggressively or actively upgrading talent in the current market, up from 15% this time last year.
- The CFO remains the most challenging role to hire: Year after year, partners cite the CFO as the most difficult executive hire, driven by challenges around leveling, compensation, and finding the right experience.
- AI adoption varies, but expectations for talent are taking shape and rising: Approximately half of PE partners identify as intermediate AI users, and a similar proportion expect new hires to demonstrate working proficiency with AI.
